Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA 1/ASA2 patient, bmi less than 25

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant, lactating, allergic to dexmedetomidine, patients with anticipated difficult airway, patients with history of neurological and psychiatric disorder

To study the effects of dexmedetomidine on haemodynamic parameters for patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy under general anaesthesia.Timepoint: base line then at every 15 minutes for first hour, and after one hour till 4 hours every 30 minutes,then hourly for 24 hours post-operatively

To assess the effect on post operative requirement of analgesics for patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy under general anaesthesia.Timepoint: Time of first requirement of rescue analgesics will be recorded, and requirement of total analgesics used at the end of post operative 24hours.;To assess adverse effects of dexmedetomidine for patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy under general anaesthesia.Timepoint: Any adverse effect will be recorded for first 24hours.;Comparison of Physical quality of recovery score -15 in both the groupsTimepoint: At the end of 24 hours post operatively it will be recorded
