Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Age between 18 and 65 years. 2) ASA (American Society of Anaesthesiologists) Grade I and II. 3) Absence of acute inflammation or previous abdominal surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Immunocompromised states (e.g., Diabetes Mellitus). 2) Patients not providing consent for the study. 3) Antibiotic usage in the preceding week.

MeasureTime frame
The study anticipates determining whether the omission of prophylactic antibiotics leads to a statistically significant increase in SSI rates.Timepoint: Post operative Surgical site infection will be accessed.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To identify common causative organisms in cases of infection and evaluate the cost-effectiveness of omitting prophylaxis.Timepoint: post operative organism will be accessed in case of Surgical site infection occur.
