Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) patient having age between 5-15 years. 2) patients having laxanas of purishaj anaha as per classics 3) Patients having acute phase of purishaj anaha. 4) paediatric Rome iv criteria for functional constipation 5) abdominal pain 6)only those patients will be selected whose parents are willing to give written consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Patient with any disease which have constipation as secondary complication eg- hirschsprung disease, spinal cord lesions, colon cancer etc. 2)Patient suffering from any systemic disease e.g.-T. B, HIV and obstructive pathologies which intervenes with treatment. 3)Known case of hormonal diseases as hypothyroidism. 4)Patient having psychomotor disorder e.g.-cerebral palsy will be excluded. 5)Known case of irritable bowel syndrome. 6)Patients having chronic and recurrent phases of purishaja anaha.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To study efficacy of sukumarka syrup in purishaja anaha in children with age 5-15 years for 30 days.Timepoint: treatment will be given for 15 days with follow up on 7thday, 15thday and 30th day.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To study any untoward effect of sukumarka syrupTimepoint: treatment will be given for 15 days with follow up on 7thday, 15thday and 30th day.
