Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients having excessive but cyclic menses of more than 7 days for more than 3 consecutive cycles. Hb should be more than 8 gm%. Patients having bleeding in excessive amount i.e. number of pads used.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Non- cooperative patients. Women with irregular cycle and peri-menopausal bleeding. Patient with comorbidities like Diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, Hypertension. Patients with IUCD inserted. Patients with Uterine fibroids, Ovarian cysts, Endometriosis, retained product of conception. Patient with recent h/o D&C or D&E, Threatened, Spontaneous or Incomplete abortion. Patients with positive UPT, ectopic pregnancy.

MeasureTime frame
Change in menstrual blood loss (PBAC score/number of pads used and duration of bleeding) after treatment with Sariva Churna Vati compared with Tranexamic Acid.Timepoint: Baseline, end of first menstrual cycle (4 weeks), and end of second menstrual cycle (8 weeks).
