Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
percentage of teeth attaining complete gingival fill after interdental gingivectomy using ceramic tissue trimming bur without coolant vs RF cauteryTimepoint: Baseline, 7 days, 6 months, 12 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare healing and position of interproximal gingival margin after upto 12 months of gingivectomy done using ceramic tissue trimming bur without coolant vs RF cautery in posterior teeth with subgingival proximal caries restored with direct composite restorationTimepoint: 7 days, 6 months, 1 year;To compare periodontal health parameters like presence of plaque, pocket depth, bleeding on probing, attachment level in both groups over a period of 12 months Timepoint: 7 days, 6 months, 12 months; To compare any interdental bone loss over 12 months period in both groups Timepoint: 6 months, 12 months; To compare caries recurrence over a period of 12 months in both groups Timepoint: 6 months, 12 months
