Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult patients (more than 18 years old and less than 65 yrs old) diagnosed with septic shock based on Sepsis-3 criteria within 24 h of ICU admission and expected to stay for more than or equal to 72 hrs with atleast one feature of end-organ dysfunction: Acute kidney injury (AKI) of at least KDIGO criteria for AKI stage 1. Glasgow Coma Scale less than15 (GCS). Serum Lactate more than or equal to 2.0 mmol/L. Need for mechanical ventilation.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with chronic liver disease and chronic kidney disease. Patients with limitations on life support interventions. Those who had undergone liver and renal transplantation. Pregnant patients. Unable to measure parameters due to suboptimal ECHO or VEXUS window. Patients with known cardiac valvular dysfunction. Patients with pre-existing end-stage renal disease requiring dialysis. Patient who denies consent. Death within 72 hours of study. Patients with known pulmonary artery hypertension.
