Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The intervention involves a single intradiscal injection of autologous PRP, while the comparison group receives an intradiscal injection of Leucocyte poor PRP. The primary outcomes will be measured using the Visual Analog Scale for pain and the Functional Rating Index for disability, to assess improvements in pain and functional status following treatment.Timepoint: 6 months | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| In individuals with lumbar intervertebral disc prolapse receiving intradiscal injections of platelet-rich plasma versus leucocyte-poor PRP, a follow up MRI will be conducted at the 6th month post-injection to assess and compare morphologic changes in the intervertebral disc between the two groups.Timepoint: 6 months | — |
