Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Sport: Currently active football players with regular training and competition. 2. History of groin pain for at least two months 3. Minimum 1 year of regular football playing experience. 4. Should have adequate core strength 5. Discomfort in hip adductors (HAGOS = 50 minimum) 6. Able to provide informed consent and comply with study procedures 7. Participants were selected based on clinical signs, including tenderness on palpation and pain during resisted hip adduction. 8. Additionally, only those with a pain score of 4 or lower on the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) during leg adduction against resistance were included.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Any evidence for the groin pain related to the hernia and sports related hernia. 2. Any evidence reported for the stress fracture and the palpatory pain in the corresponding anatomical site. 3. Existing unhealed injuries which may restrict the athlete from performing the protocol. Individuals engaged in systematic resistance 4. training of the hip adductors and abductors (more than one time per week) at least 1 month prior to study initiation. 5. Any relevant surgical conditions within the preceding 6 months. 6. Missed two or more consecutive training sessions due to injury.
