Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age more than or equal to 18 years. 2. Histologically confirmed advanced or metastatic solid malignancy. 3. Receiving palliative care (without ongoing cancer-directed therapy, BSC) 4. Expected survival more than 4 weeks (clinician-estimated) 5. Able to undergo bedside POCUS assessment of the thigh 6.Provide informed consent (patient or legally authorized representative)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Lower limb conditions affecting RF measurement: Thigh infection Large wounds Recent surgery or trauma Severe contractures 2. Significant lower limb oedema or anasarca 3. Known neuromuscular disorders affecting muscle bulk 4. Inability to position the patient supine for measurement

To evaluate the association between baseline rectus femoris cross-sectional area and overall survival in advanced cancer patients receiving palliative care.Timepoint: Every 3 weeks for up to 6 months or until death.
