Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients with chronic pain greater than 3 months presence of anxiety and or depression assessed by standardised clinical tools.- GAD 7 greater than or equal to 5 (generalised anxiety disorder 7 item questionnaire) PHQ 9 greter thanor equal to 5 (patient healyh questionnaire 9) patients attending pain clinic of a tertiary care hospitalfor the first time

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: refusal of consent age less than 18 or greater than 70 pain duration less than 3 months severe psychiatric symptoms requiring immediate treatment

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To measure the extent to which management of chronic pain reduces anxiety and/or depression symptomsTimepoint: baseline and 12 weeks (or 3 months)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To determine the impact of pain management on improving functional ability & quality of life (QoL) in individuals with chronic pain, by evaluating changes in daily functioning & mobility. Timepoint: baseline & 12 weeks (3 months);To identify if duration of pain & demographic factors such as age, gender influence the effectiveness of pain management in reducing anxiety, depression, & impairment.Timepoint: baseline & 12 weeks (3 months)
