Intervention1: Group A- (A-OSS with Chitosan Hydrogel): Ten patients with angular intrabony periodontal defects. Follow-up at 0, 3, 6 Months Control Intervention1: Group B- (A-OSS alone): Ten patients

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age group ranging from 20-60 years. Good level of oral hygiene(plaque index less than or equal to 1) Subjects of either sex having Generalised Chronic Periodontitis. Subjects who are systemically healthy with no contraindication to periodontal surgery. Presence of (PD more than equal to) 5mm in relation to the teeth with radiographic evidence of angular bone loss. Compliant subjects.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects with any systemic disease. Individuals having any deleterious habits, such as smoking or tobacco chewing. Subjects allergic or sensitive to any medication or any ingredient of the test- material. Subjects showing unacceptable oral hygiene compliance during/ after phase -I therapy. Pregnant or lactating females. Subjects who have undergone any periodontal surgery in the past 6 months. Subjects taking steroids/chemotherapy/Radiotherapy. Non co-operative subjects.
