Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with IBS-D reporting recurrent abdominal pain on average at least 1 day per week in the last 3 months, associated with two or more of the same defecation related features as per ROME IV criteria. Presence of more than 25 percent loose or watery stools on the Bristol Stool Form Scale (types 6 or7) and less than 25 percent hard or lumpy stools on the Bristol Stool Form Scale (types 1 or2). The subjects agree to provide informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subject having any malignant conditions. Subjects who were on long term antidepressants. Subject having Chronic Kidney Disease, Chronic Liver Disease, Psychiatric Disorders. Pregnancy or lactation, planning for pregnancy. Patients are unwilling or unable to comply with the study procedures.
