Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Newly diagnosed hypertensive patients within last six months, able to understand Oriya Hindi or English and willing to provide informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with hypertension for more than six months pregnant or lactating women critically ill patients bedridden patients psychiatric disorders cognitive impairment and patients already receiving structured counselling
