Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Adults aged 35 60 years. 2. Known cases of RA with a maximum disease duration up to 2 years and attending the outpatient department of Institute and PHC/CHC/ rheumatology clinics at identified allopathic & Ayurveda hospitals located in the selected SC dominant areas 3. Willing to give informed consent and able to respond to questionnaires reliably (i.e. no mental or physical condition that prevents cooperation). CONTROL 1. Individuals aged 35 60 years residing in the same geographic area as the cases, with no history of RA or other autoimmune disorders. 2. Willing to give informed consent and able to respond to questionnaires reliably (i.e. no mental or physical condition that prevents cooperation).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Presence of other rheumatologic/autoimmune/connective tissue diseases (e.g. systemic lupus erythematosus, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, other inflammatory arthropathies). 2. History of comorbidities, e.g., hepatic, renal, cardiac, pulmonary, metabolic disease; malignancy.
