Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Tobacco Chewers belonging to the following 3 Groups Group 1 - Individuals with histopathologically confirmed Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (not previously treated for the condition) , n=37 Group 2 - Individuals with histopathologically confirmed Oral Leukoplakia and not previously treated for the condition , n=37 Group 3 - Apparently Healthy , Age and Sex matched individuals with normal Oral Mucosa , n=37

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Non - Tobacco chewers Individuals with secondary Oral Cancer or any other Systemic Conditions Individuals unable to provide adequate Saliva sample

Primary Outcome Establishing the potential association between selected Genetic and Epigenetic markers and disease status (Tobacco Chewers belonging to the following 3 Groups Group 1 - Individuals with histopathologically confirmed Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (not previously treated for the condition) , n=37 Group 2 - Individuals with histopathologically confirmed Oral Leukoplakia and not previously treated for the condition , n=37 ) Group 3 - Apparently Healthy , Age and Sex matched individuals with normal Oral Mucosa , n=37therby implicating thier role as a potential diagnostic or prognostic biomarker Timepoint: Sample Collection - 6 Months Laboratory Assay and reporting - 6 months
