Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children with DMFT/deft score from 1-3 Participants whose parents will give written consent for the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Children having teeth with spontaneous pain, swelling, fistula, abscess or tenderness on percussion. 2.Children with mild-severe gingival inflammation or oral ulceration. 3.Children suffering from any illness or any systemic disease requiring special medical care. 4.Children with history of antibiotic usage in the past month. 5.Children undergoing orthodontic treatment. 6.Children in whom saliva collection is not possible owing to disability or who cannot rinse on their own.
