Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Cardiac Surgical Patients with Basal Metabolic index more than 30

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients not giving consent, patients already on heparin, emergency surgery, redo surgery

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome of the study will be the total heparin dose required to achieve target ACT (480 seconds) before initiation of CPB.Timepoint: 3 minutes after administering heparin, 72 hours after shifting to ICU

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
,To compare total dose of heparin given in both the groups, To compare protamine dose administered in both the groups,To compare amount of postoperative blood loss between the study groups. Timepoint: 72 hours after surgery
