Interventions

Intervention1: SMPL- subthreshold micropulse laser 577 nm combined with intravitreal Ranibizumab injection (0.5mg/0.05 ml) in group A: Patients in group A will be additionally treated with SMPL 577nm

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patient with treatment naive branch retinal vein occlusion with macular edema with central macular thickness more than 275 micrometres measured using HRA spectral domain for optical coherence tomography with BCVA equal to or less than 6/9

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. any other retinal vascular pathology for example diabetic retinopathy 2. co-existent ocular pathology 3. history of cataract surgery in the previous 3 months 4. history of vitreoretinal surgery 5. history of pan retinal photocoagulation in the last 6 months 6. history of previous grid laser treatment 7. history of intravitreal injections
