Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Gender men and women 2 Age 30 to 65 years 3 Participants diagnosed with hypertension stage 1 or Stage 2 4 Stable medication more than or equal to 4 weeks

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Diabetes mellitus 2 Coronary Artery Disease 3 arrhythmia 4 Beta-blocker therapy 5 Smoking 6 Obesity Class III

1 Change in Systolic and Diastolic Blood Pressure (SBP and DBP) measured in mmHg 2 Change in Heart Rate Variability (HRV) parameters and Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP)Timepoint: 1 Baseline and 8 weeks 2 Baseline and 8 weeks

1 To determine the effectiveness of structured breathing exercises on Mean Arterial Pressure MAP among community dwelling individuals with hypertension. 2 To assess autonomic dysfunction in hypertensive adults using short term resting HRV analysis and compare with normotensive controls.
