Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Randomized split mouth clinical trial in 30 patients with Stage II Grade B periodontitis Test sites received SRP plus indigenously prepared atorvastatin gel control sites received SRP alone Clinical parameters PI GI mSBI PPD CAL assessed at baseline and 3 months to evaluate adjunctive effectiveness

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with systemic disease Patients on systemic atorvastatin or other statin therapy Pregnant or lactating females Tobacco users in any form Patients with poor oral hygiene or non compliant behavior Patients who have undergone periodontal treatment in the last 6 months
