Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1-Patients with a histopathological diagnosis of colorectal carcinoma on biopsy. 2-Patients with colorectal carcinoma who have undergone surgical resection and whose resected specimens are available for evaluation. 3-Patients with histologically confirmed adenocarcinoma of the colorectum, irrespective of tumor grade. 4-Patients with adequate clinical and pathological data available for analysis

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The patient histopathologically diagnosis of cancer of cancer colorectum other than adenocarcinoma The patient having inadequate clinical details pertaining to histopathological diagnosis. The patient having inadequate tumor tissue block which are inadequate to be processed for immunostaining for endosialin/CD248/TEM1.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Assesment of Endosialin (TEM1/CD248( EXPRESSION IN ADENOCARCINOMA AND ITS CORRELATION WITH CLINICOPATHOLOGICAL PROGNOSTIC PARAMETER.Timepoint: At the time of histopathological examination of the biopsy and/or surgical resection specimen.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
### Secondary Outcomes 1. To evaluate the pattern & intensity of Endosialin (CD248/TEM1) expression in colorectal adenocarcinoma tissues by immunohistochemistry. 2. To determine the association between CD248 expression & histopathological parameters such as tumor grade, lymphovascular invasion, tumor stage, nodal stage, & TNM stage. 3. To assess the role of Endosialin as a potential marker of tumor angiogenesis in colorectal cancer. 4. To generate baseline Indian data regarding CD248/TEM1 expression in colorectal adenocarcinoma for future research & targeted therapy studies. Timepoint: At the time of histopathological examination & immunohistochemical analysis of the biopsy and/or surgical resection specimen, & during data analysis.
