Interventions

Intervention1: pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMFT): Participants will receive pulsed electromagnetic field therapy for 3-5 sessions per week over a period of 3 weeks for 15-20 min on the area

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Adults aged 20 to 60 years. 2) Clinically diagnosed with chronic plantar fasciitis by a physician or physiotherapist. 3) History of plantar heel pain for more than or equal to 3 months. 4) Localized tenderness at the medial calcaneal tubercle or plantar fascia insertion. 5) Heel pain during the first steps in the morning or after prolonged periods of rest. 6) Presence of functional limitation due to plantar heel pain.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) History of foot or ankle surgery. 2) Recent Fracture of ankle or foot 3) Previous corticosteroid injection to the heel within the past 3 months. 4) Presence of other causes of heel pain (e.g., calcaneal fracture, tarsal tunnel syndrome, Achilles tendinopathy). 5) Systemic inflammatory or rheumatologic disorders (e.g., rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and gout). 6) Neurological disorders affecting lower limb sensation or motor function. 7) Severe diabetic neuropathy or uncontrolled diabetes mellitus. 8) Pregnancy. 9) Presence of pacemaker or other implanted electronic devices (contraindication for pulsed electromagnetic field therapy).
