Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: a. Patient posted for open/minimally invasive abdominal / pelvic cancer surgeries b. Age- 18 years and above. c. Elective surgeries

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a. Refusal to give consent b. Known metastasis c. Symptomatic psychiatric illness d. Inability to comprehend/ complete a personal interview e. Day care surgical/Diagnostic/Endoscopic procedures f. Patients who do not understand either English or Hindi

To find the incidence and severity of chronic pain in coelomic surgeries as per Brief Pain Inventory-Short FormTimepoint: at 6 months post surgery

MeasureTime frame
a. To assess the PAIN DETECT score b. To assess the affection of daily activities due to the chronic pain c. To assess the management of the pain peri-operatively and at 20-28 weeks post-surgery d. To study the association of perioperative risk factors with incidence of persistent post surgical pain (PPSP) Timepoint: at 6 months post surgery
