Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All participants aged above 40 years attended the Medicine OPD for their routine health check-ups. During the process, each participant s ability to understand and follow the questions asked was also observed and assessed.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria included individuals with a history of stroke or traumatic brain injury, as well as those experiencing dysphagia due to neurological, structural, or malignant causes. Participants who had recently undergone head and neck surgery or received radiotherapy were also excluded. In addition, individuals with bleeding disorders and women in the lactating phase or those with low hemoglobin levels due to hormonal changes are excluded from this study.
