Intervention1: one liter 0.9 percent normal saline: one liter 0.9 percent normal saline given over 4 hours everyday for 4 days and total duration of 16 hours

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult oncological and chronically ill non-oncological patients No contraindications for receiving intravenous normal saline. Patients who complain of fatigue at rest. Estimated prognosis of 41 days as calculated from and based on PPS less than or equal to 30 per cent Patients with symptoms corresponding to ECOG 3 or 4 score. Receiving comfort-focused, non-curative care palliative systemic therapy or radiotherapy solely for symptom relief, not disease modification. Able to provide informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with comorbidities like heart failure and chronic kidney disease, severe peripheral edema, decompensated liver disease and refractory ascite Patients with hemodynamic instability and or if the patient is stuporous or comatosed who are unable to express needs. Non consenting adult patient.
