Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age between 40 and 60 years in males and females Serum uric acid levels above normal laboratory reference values that is more than 7 mg per decilitre in males and more than 6 mg per decilitre in females Diagnosed cases of essential hypertension on regular antihypertensive medication for at least three months
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with severe hyperuricaemia with serum uric acid levels more than 10 milligrams per decilitre Individuals with hypertensive emergencies secondary hypertension clinically diagnosed gout chronic kidney disease malignancy uncontrolled diabetes and those unwilling to continue their regular antihypertensive medication or to provide written informed consent Patients with active malignancy immunocompromised conditions such as HIV cancer or those on immunosuppressive therapy or psychiatric illness Pregnant puerperal or lactating women and those with pregnancy induced hypertension Patients on any medicines that lower serum uric acid levels
