Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Consenting Patients BMI greater than 30 Patients posted for non thoracic non abdominal surgeries

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Patients who are given interscalene brachial plexus block leading to phrenic nerve palsy 2 ASA-PS lll, lV, V, Vl like patients with severe debilitating lung diseases 3 Emergency surgeries

To compare the difference in PEFR values measured preoperatively and at 24 hours after surgery using pocket spirometer with and without the use of Incentive Spirometry in obese patients after non-abdominal and non-thoracic surgeries under GA.Timepoint: To compare the difference in PEFR values measured preoperatively and at 24 hours after surgery using pocket spirometer with and without the use of Incentive Spirometry in obese patients after non-abdominal and non-thoracic surgeries under GA.

To compare the difference in PEFR measured preoperatively at 48 & 72 hours after surgery using pocket spirometer, with and without the use of Incentive Spirometry in obese patients after non-abdominal and non-thoracic surgeries under GA. To compare the difference in FEV1% measured preoperatively at 48 & 72 hours after surgery using pocket spirometer with and without the use of Incentive Spirometry in obese patients after non-abdominal and non-thoracic surgeries under GA. Timepoint: 24 hrs and 72 hrs post surgery
