Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult trauma patients requiring emergency tracheal intubation with agitation interfering with effective preoxygenation will be included in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with severe haemodynamic instability, pregnancy, severe cardiac disease, known psychiatric illness, chronic neurocognitive disorders, established delirium unrelated to acute trauma, or contraindications to ketamine will be excluded
