Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patient who fulfil the diagnostic criteria of chronic kidney disease with low blood haemoglobine concentration and high creatinine levels as per working case definition. haemoglobine concentration less than 13 g/dl in males and less than 12 g/dl in females,creatinine level greater than 1.3 g/dl in males and 1.1 g/dl in females.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient in the category of end stage kidney disease ,history of blood transfusion or erythropoietin injection during last three months, patient with known malignancy, those patients with blood haemoglobin concentration less than 7 g/dl ,those patient with serum creatinine level greater than 6 mg/dl
