Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who were between 18 to 60 years admitted for elective surgery, with an American Society of Anestheiologists(ASA) Grade I or II were included in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients below 18 or above 60 years, those who denied consent, had an ASA Grade of III or IV, those known to have allergy to Propofol or dexmedetomidine or both, and patients with preexisting cardiorespiratory or liver diseases were excluded from this study.
