Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1 Age 18 years or more 2 Confirmed liver cirrhosis with portal hypertension 3 Patients with bleeding gastric varices classified as GOV2 or IGV1
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1 Patients experiencing bleeding from esophageal varices EV or gastroesophageal varices type 1 GOV 1 or IGV2 2 Patients with non cirrhotic portal hypertension 3 Active spurt of blood noted from gastric varices seen on endoscopy 4 Pregnancy 5 Patients with refractory shock 6 Sepsis ACLF 7 Platelet count less than 50000 per mL and International Normalized Rate INR more than 2 point 0 8 Contraindication to endoscopy 9 Not willing to provide consent
