Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Children with age group of 6 month to 5 years irrespective of Gender, Religion, Socio-Economic status and food habits. 2.Children having weight for height Z score below -2 and more or equal to -3 SD of the expected weight. 3.Mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC)greater than or equal to 11.5 cm and less than 12.5 cm
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Children with any signs of serious illness. 2.Children with known case of chronic infections (tuberculosis, HIV), systemic disorders, severe anaemia, hyperthyroidism, malabsorption syndromes such as irritable bowel syndrome, metabolic disorders, gastrointestinal tract disorders, and congenital heart disease, cancers, diabetes, cerebral palsy and other severe neurological disorders will be excluded. Children diagnosed with chromosomal, genetic, metabolic or congenital disorder will be excluded. 3.Children with non-consenting parent/guardians were also excluded from the study.
