Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Study subjects aged 8-12 years. Study subjects having Hearing and speech impaired [Disabling hearing loss refers to hearing loss greater than 35 decibels (dB) in the better hearing ear]. Study subjects being part of psychosocial support groups under the supervision of a trained monitor. Study subjects residing in Puducherry and cuddalore.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects with physical disabilities such as children with upper limb deformities, multiple disabilities, non-compliant behaviour, etc Subjects suffering from chronic debilitating conditions like Epilepsy and/or on long term medications which could influence their oral health status. Subjects who are not willing to participate and did not give informed consent and assent.
