Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Participants aged 18 to 30 years with forward head posture were included in the study. Individuals having a craniovertebral angle (CVA) of 53 or less, measured through photogrammetry, were considered eligible. Participants who used smartphones or computers for an average of more than 4 hours per day were also included. Subjects were required to have pain associated with at least one active trigger point in the upper trapezius muscle for a duration of at least six months. Additionally, participants with clinically diagnosed moderate neck pain along with active trigger points in the upper trapezius or other neck muscles were included in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: History of cervical spine surgery or neurological disorders Contraindications to ESWT or Matrix (e.g., infection, bleeding disorders, implanted devices) Neck or shoulder surgery during last two years , neck radiculopathy, trauma history, cardiovascular, respiratory or allergic disease, neck osteoarthtritis, coagulation disorders and pregnancy
