Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults aged 65 years or older both male and female patients Scheduled for elective major or moderate surgery ASA physical status classification of 1 to 4 Willing and able to provide informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients undergoing emergency surgeries Individuals scheduled for minor or day care procedures Patients who are already admitted to the ICU preoperatively Refusal of consent

MeasureTime frame
Frailty will be assessed using the Modified Frailty Index (mFI-11)Timepoint: Pre-operative phase

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Surgical and anaesthetic data including type, duration, and intraoperative events will be recorded.Timepoint: Intra-operative phase;Any health issues that arise within the first 7 days after surgery confusion (delirium), kidney or heart issues, unexpected ICU admissions, or the need for additional proceduresTimepoint: Post-operative phase- within first 7 days after surgery
