Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age more than or equal 65 years ASA physical status 1 or 2 Elective surgeries under spinal anesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Significant valvular heart disease Cardiac arrhythmias (atrial fibrillation, frequent ectopics) Carotid artery stenosis more than 50% or history of carotid surgery Known cerebrovascular disease Morbid obesity (BMI more than 40 kg/m ) Poor-quality carotid Doppler images
