Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. All clinically and radiologically diagnosed cases of lumbar canal stenosis 2.Age 50-80 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Spondylolisthesis, infective pathologies, previous lumbar spine surgery, traumatic spinal injuries, malignancy , spinal deformity will be excluded.

1.To do posterior decompression alone in cases of degenerative lumbar canal stenosis. 2. To do posterior decompression along with stabilization in cases of degenerative lumbar canal stenosis. 3. To analyze clinical and functional outcomes in both these groups. Timepoint: Assessment will be done at 3 wks,6 wks and 12 wks—
