Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients greater than 18 years of age patient with candida colinization BDG result greater than 60pg per ml All patients who have suspected invasive candidiasis in the ICU

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: patients less than 18 years of age patients already on antifugal treatment more than one day prior to BDG testing confirmed invasive candidiasis before BDG testing

Establish an understanding of infectious candidiasis and BDG testing Establish algorithms significantly enhancing diagnostic accuracy and guiding targeted clinical management Facilitate more accurate and rapid diagnosis addressing critical diagnostic gaps safely reduce unnecessary antifungals reducing resistanceTimepoint: 1 year 6 months
