Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inborn Birth weight less than 1000 grams Respiratory distress syndrome requiring surfactant.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Major congenital anomalies Known/suspected chromosomal anomalies Severe perinatal asphyxia Previously received surfactant Outborn babies Refused consent
