Interventions

Intervention1: Pregabalin: 75 mg oral 2hr before operation. Control Intervention1: Gabapentin: 400 mg oral 2hr before operation.

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. ASA I,II,III patients 2. Patients aged 60-70 years 3. Undergoing cataract surgery under local anesthesia 4. Able to provide informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Allergy to gabapentin/pregabalin 2. Chronic pain syndrome 3. Regular opioid use 4. Severe renal impairment 5. Cognitive impairment/dementia 6. Uncontrolled hypertension/diabetes - unwillingness to participate in the study.
