Health Condition 1: E113- Type 2 diabetes mellitus with ophthalmic complications

Interventions

Intervention1: Intravitreal Dexamethasone Implant: Single intravitreal injection of dexamethasone implant (0.7 mg) will be administered under aseptic precautions. Patients will be followed up at Day 1

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria : 1. Age greater than or equal to 18 yrs, able and willing to provide written informed consent 2.Type 2 DM 3. Center-involving Diabetic Macular Edema 4. Hba1c less than or equal to 8 percent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Proliferative diabetic retinopathy 2. Ischemic maculopathy 3. H/o intravitreal drug therapy in last 6 months 4. H/o any intraocular surgery or laser in last 1 year 5. Media opacity precluding examination 6. Diagnosed cases of Glaucoma or ocular HTN on treatment 7. Any other ocular disease 8. Any cardiovascular event in last 6 months 9. Nephropathy
