Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Systemically healthy patients. Presence of three walled intrabony defect. Minimum of two teeth with Probing pocket depth greater than or equal to 6mm in each quadrant on the contralateral side. Clinical attachment loss greater than 4mm. Intraosseous defect depth greater than or equal to 3mm.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Teeth with supra bony defects or with one walled and two walled intra bony defects Medically compromised patients. Teeth with poor prognosis. Pregnant and lactating women. Smokers Patients on medications known to interfere with periodontal tissue health and healing.

The primary outcome of the study is to evaluate the regenerative effect of ascorbic acid infused injectable platelet rich fibrin IPRF in the treatment of intrabony defects in periodontitis patients using cone beam computed tomography CBCT to measure changes in bone defect area and linear defect depth.Timepoint: baseline and six months
