Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Healthy individuals with no known cardiovascular or neurological disorders. 2) Esports group: Participants who regularly play structured video games (greater than or equal to 6 hours/week for at least 6 months). 3) Traditional sports group: Individuals engaged in regular structured sports activity (college level or recreational) with (greater than or equal to 3 sessions/week for at least 6 months). 4) Control group: Individuals who are not engaged in any form of physical activity that is at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity per week, or at least 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic activity per week, or an equivalent combination of both will be considered as sedentary controls. 5) Willingness to participate and provide informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) History of cardiovascular, neurological, or psychiatric disorders. 2) Use of medications or substances affecting heart rate or cognition (e.g., beta-blockers, stimulants). 3) Recent illness, injury, or surgery affecting participation. 4) Inability to comply with testing requirements or wear HRV devices.
