Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults aged 18 years and above with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus diagnosed as per ADA criteria Male and female patients Patients willing to provide written informed consent Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients with low to moderate alcohol consumption Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients without alcohol consumption or consuming less than 1 drink per week Patients willing for FibroScan evaluation and follow up

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with Hepatitis B infection Patients with Hepatitis C infection Patients with other chronic liver diseases Heavy alcohol consumption Pregnant women Patients with ascites Patients with contraindications for FibroScan Patients with acute liver inflammation Patients taking hepatotoxic or steatogenic drugs Patients unwilling to provide consent or follow up
