Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults greater than or equal to 18 years of age BMI greater than 30 kg per meter sq Willing to provide informed written consent No previously diagnosed chronic liver disease

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age less than 18 History of significant alcohol consumption (greater than 30 g/day in men, greater than 20 g/day in women, based on WHO AUDIT (Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test) Known cases of: Viral hepatitis B or C Autoimmune hepatitis Wilson s disease, hemochromatosis Use of hepatotoxic drugs (methotrexate and amiodarone) Pregnancy or lactation Incomplete clinical records Refusal of informed consent
