Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult Patients, Inclusive Of Both Genders, Undergoing Cardiothoracic Surgery On Cardiopulmonary Bypass Between The Age Of 18 To 70

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age less than 18 years Renal and hepatic insufficiency Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) less than 35 percent. H/O Hematological disorders Previous H/O Vitamin C or N-acetylcysteine (NAC) allergy Aortic cross clamp time of greater than 120 minutes Emergency cardiac surgeries Redo cardiothoracic surgery Inflammatory bowel disease Connective tissue disorder People on antioxidant therapy vitamin C, E, Selenium, Beta-carotene H/O of Steroid therapy or Anti-cancer therapy H/O GI bleeding
