Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: i. Neonates with gestational age more than 30 weeks ii. Inborn neonates delivered in the study centre iii. Neonates clinically stable enough to undergo bedside ultrasonography iv. Neonates admitted either to postnatal ward or NICU

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: i. Major congenital brain malformations ii. Critical congenital heart disease (duct-dependent or cyanotic lesions) iii. Severe perinatal asphyxia requiring prolonged cardiopulmonary resuscitation iv. Major chromosomal anomalies or syndromic features v. Neonates in whom adequate Doppler window cannot be obtained vi. Severe respiratory distress requiring mechanical ventilation

To evaluate the temporal changes in cerebral blood flow parameters at predefined postnatal time points. To correlate cerebral doppler parameters with systemic hemodynamics or echocardiographic parameters.Timepoint: Assessments will be performed: - Within thirty minutes of life - At approximately sixty minutes of life - At approximately six hours of life - at approximately twenty four hours of life
