Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Patients of either sex aged between 18 to 70 years 2 Patients showing clinical signs and symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus 3 FBS between 126-200 mg/dl or PPBS 200-400 mg/dl or HbA1C greater than 6.5-9 percent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Patients below 18 years and above 70 years of age 2 Patient with a history of long-term steroid or cytotoxic drug use 3 Patient with uncontrolled Renal Failure, Cardiac disorders,HIV,Malignancy etc 4 Patient with Type 1 Diabetes Mallitus 5 Pregnant or lactating women

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1. Reduction in Fasting Blood Sugar(FBS) level at the end of the treatment period.Timepoint: 90 days

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.Changes in Postprandial Blood Sugar (PPBS) and Hba1c. 2. Changes in subjective symptoms. 3. Improvements in Quality of Life (QOL) using a validated diabetes questionnaire.Timepoint: 90 days
