Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, maintained under adequate glycemic control, presenting with non-healing, non-infective corneal epithelial defects (negative microbiology reports for ulcer scrapings)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients who had recent ocular surgery, chemical injuries, severe dry eye, poor adherence to treatment, or active infectious keratitis were excluded
