Interventions

Intervention1: Simvastatin: 1 tablet of 10mg will be placed in extracted tooth socket using gelatin sponge and will then be sutured. Intervention2: Melatonin: 1 tablet 3mg will be placed in extracted

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients having a minimum mouth opening of more than 30mm. 2.Patients without any precancerous lesion. 3.Patients without any systemic disease.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Pregnant or lactating patients 2.Patient on long-term antibiotics or steroid therapy. 3.Patients with radiation therapy or chemotherapy to the head and neck region. 4.Patients with mandibular third molars that do not require surgical extraction. 5.Surgical duration more than 45 minutes.
